#WomenInnovate Campaign: Empowering Women in STEM and ICT

The #WomenInnovate campaign, launched as part of a joint initiative by the Young European Ambassadors and Women4Cyber Montenegro, aims to empower women and girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). Through a series of educational activities, challenges, and interactive events, the campaign will provide a platform for inspiration, networking, and support until April 2025, while simultaneously breaking gender stereotypes and encouraging young women to engage in the digital industry.

The WeBalkans project, under which the Young European Ambassadors network operates, joins forces with Women4Cyber Montenegro to launch #WomenInnovate, a campaign dedicated to empowering women and girls in STEM and ICT fields. Running until April 2025, the campaign offers a platform for inspiration, education, and networking, highlighting the importance of gender equality in the digital sector.

In a world where technology shapes the future, women’s participation in the digital economy and innovation remains below expected levels. Barriers such as gender stereotypes, the lack of role models, and limited access to resources often discourage girls from pursuing careers in ICT and STEM. Through #WomenInnovate, the Young European Ambassadors and Women4Cyber Montenegro seek to address these challenges, give visibility to successful women in the field, and encourage young generations to explore the opportunities that technology offers.

The campaign kicks off on February 11 with a series of inspiring digital activities led by young ambassadors from both organizations, promoting the role of women in innovation. Throughout the campaign, interactive challenges, educational posts, and video stories will be shared to debunk myths about women in technology.

In March and April, the campaign will transition into networking events, workshops, and panel discussions. The final event will bring together female leaders from the digital sector, providing participants with valuable insights and connections. Workshops will cover topics such as cybersecurity, digital literacy, and technology leadership, while photo and video challenges will allow participants to share their personal experiences and visions for the future of technology.

The #WomenInnovate campaign represents a crucial step toward building an inclusive and supportive digital ecosystem, where women have equal opportunities to participate and advance. We invite everyone to join the campaign, share their stories, and be part of a community shaping the digital future.
