W4C Montenegro at Her CyberTracks Europe Forum

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce our active participation in the prestigious Her CyberTracks Europe Forum, a remarkable initiative organized by ITU and GIZ in collaboration with the Western Balkan Cyber Capacity Centre, hosted by the University of Montenegro.

This groundbreaking project is designed to provide tailored cyber capacity-building activities exclusively for female representatives involved in shaping national and international cybersecurity policies and negotiations. Our aim? To champion equal, comprehensive, and meaningful representation of women in cybersecurity for a more resilient cyberspace that benefits all.

As noted by Jaroslaw Ponder, Director of the ITU EUROPE Office, a mere 11% of the female population currently holds positions in this field. We’re here to change that narrative!

Representing W4C Montenegro in this initiative, we have Denisa Kurtagić as a mentor, alongside Milana Ranković and Vasilija Velfel as mentees. Together, we’re forging a path toward a brighter cyber future.

As a bonus, this event marks the official launch of W4C Montenegro, and we’re humbled to have Elena Drago, Chapters Coordinator at Women4Cyber Foundation, joining us in person.
