EU and NATO certificates in the field of information security are the goal of all Montenegrin institutions, companies, and other organizations. That’s why the Association of Security Managers and the partner company Diverto from Zagreb, with the support of Women4Cyber Montenegro, organized a presentation in Podgorica featuring the latest IT solutions.
This was an opportunity for state institutions and economic entities in Montenegro to practically familiarize themselves with modern client information protection systems from security threats that can cause theft of confidential information, financial losses, and reputational damage.
In this sense, “Diverto” possesses EU and NATO certificates and is one of the major service providers in the field of information security in Southeast Europe.
“On the path to EU membership, Montenegro adopts standards that will help us minimize the threats of various types of cyber-attacks to which we have been exposed for years. Threats cannot be completely eliminated, but we must become familiar with solutions and systems that are updated almost daily. Only in this way, in everyday life, can we provide effective protection to institutions and citizens. Information security in critical infrastructure represents a vital component of preserving the stability and functionality of key societal systems,” emphasized the President of the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro, Dragan Radulović, at the presentation at ‘Ramada.’
The President of Women4Cyber Montenegro, Dr. Andreja Mihailović, highlighted the strong commitment of the W4C MNE organization to the development of strategic public-private partnerships in the field of cyber security.
“This mission is not limited to promoting inclusivity in the sector; it lays the foundation for creating synergistic links between the private sector, known for its innovative technological solutions and technical expertise, and the public sector, whose regulatory and political capacities ensure the implementation of these solutions in accordance with national and international standards. Such integration contributes not only to the development of advanced cyber security practices but also to the creation of a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient digital ecosystem. Only through a clear vision that encompasses the convergence of resources from different sectors can we establish a stable foundation for building national and international cyber resilience,” Mihailović stated.
Bože Šarić, Director of the company Diverto, which gathers over 50 information security engineers, stated that “in today’s digital world, understanding and managing the vulnerabilities of information systems are becoming a crucial aspect of business.
“In Diverto, we are focused on empowering organizations to recognize and adequately deal with security challenges. Our approach is based on the integration of processes, technology, and human resources, with the aim of protecting the key assets of clients. We provide advisory services that include asset identification, risk quantification, and compliance with the latest standards and legislation. These procedures encompass vulnerability detection, penetration tests at various levels – from applications and infrastructure to IoT equipment and industrial control systems (ICS), as well as organization resilience analysis,” Šarić noted.
Representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, National Security Agency, Electronic Communications and Postal Services Agency, Police Administration, Inspectorate Administration, University of Montenegro Luka Bar, Montenegro Airport, EPCG, Montenegro Telekom, One Montenegro, Jugopetrol, and a large number of companies from Montenegro attended the event.
